Iraqi kubba at Kabab Erbil comes in four kinds, served at our Al Muraqqabat branch in Deira, Dubai, and our Al Taawun branch in Sharjah. Kubba Mosul has a bulgur and jareesh shell, Kubba Halab has a rice shell, and potato kubba has a potato shell. Kubba Saray is served on rice, and mixed platters let you try them together.
| Kubba | Shell | How it is served |
|---|---|---|
| Kubba Mosul | Bulgur and jareesh | A thin, flat round filled with spiced minced meat |
| Kubba Halab | Rice | Fried until crisp, filled with seasoned meat, 5 pieces |
| Potato kubba | Potato | Golden, stuffed with spiced meat, 5 pieces |
| Kubba Saray | Served on rice, 2 pieces |
The shell is what separates them, and it changes the texture completely: bulgur gives a thin, firm crust, rice a crisp one, and potato a softer one. For the history behind each style, read our guide to the types of Iraqi kubba.
If you cannot choose, the mixed kubba platters are made for sharing: a small platter of 6 pieces and a big one of 13. Kubba goes well alongside Iraqi dolma or a grill, and a plate of fried kubba is an easy starter for the whole table. Every option is listed below with today's price.
Kubba is on the menu at both branches, open daily from 09:00 to 03:00: Al Muraqqabat in Deira, about 500 m from Al Rigga Metro, and Al Taawun in Sharjah. You can also order any kubba online from the list below for delivery across Dubai and Sharjah.
